Macellaio was born as a traditional brand, specialized in meats, of chef Maria Alejandra Ríos, who bases her recipes in her grandpa's and italian butcher. With her brand, the recipe book "Legno" is also created, which contains recipes with several types of meat like pork, beef and chicken. This book not only contains recipes but also multiple infographics which explain the origin of each meat and essential infromation. Alongside with "Legno" a second book is created: "Selvaggio". This contains a thorough research on the history of meat culture; who were the first to eat it and its evolution through time. With a rustic aesthetic and multiple illustrations and textures it presents a traditional and wild concept.
